MFL lessons and resources to support learning

In early 2020, we were asked to provide an introductory set of lessons and topics for French so that any student could access a suitable amount of MFL content to abide by government expectations and guidance. We worked with a National Lead Examiner so that our e-learning resources, lessons and practical sessions could provide suitable learning resources for any individual who is missing their mainstream MFL lessons and practical sessions. This simple stop-gap solution was to assist any break in learning away from our English, maths, science or behaviour repair curriculum.

These lessons are available in the independent area of the platform to create a value-added e-learning intervention so that a range of content and topics are available to any students. These can be viewed, followed and understood at any time and anywhere to prevent missed education and to positively impact the reintegration back into mainstream education. Our online MFL lessons are designed to make the learning of modern foreign languages simple, effective, engaging and accessible for all. Our MFL lessons include:

  • lessons with objectives, key language, grammar/skills, and introductory activities
  • interactive slides, activities and consolidation and extension activities
  • puzzles and quizzes to support learning
  • catch up resources
  • individual tasks
  • relevant, engaging, and fun
  • instant results
  • modular tests and baseline tests
  • comprehensive student, parental, and teacher reports
