EDClass is a bespoke teaching and learning, assessment, testing and whole school improvement facility, which has been developed over the last 12 years. It is proven to be a highly effective and engaging resources which helps assist the education recovery programme and implement a positive strategy. It was created off the back of an Ofsted Monitoring visit in July 2019 to provide positive destinations for a range of learners. EDClass has been created to work in partnership with learners, schools, staff, SLT, and parents to impact teaching and learning, assessment, exams, curriculum and management. The system provides an innovative system that is tailored to suit the individual needs of each learner to ensure they receive a flexible learning pathway and experience that achieves positive outcomes and desired destinations.
The online facility can be accessed via any web enabled device and doesn’t require any third-party software. Plus, it’s constantly available 24/7 and comprises bite-size modules that full and part-time learners can instantly access. It includes robust skills tests and diagnostic assessments which clearly identify the starting point and directly inform the development of a tailored learning plan. We also include bespoke assessments, baseline tests and diagnostic analysis which identify the learning requirements of each learner, department, subject and staff.
The facility also includes 1-2-1 and group tutoring and teachers available that deliver a wide range of teaching and supplementary resources within a range of subjects. We have the teacher and tutor delivering the session where you can see the teacher / their screen and the interaction between them and the learner. This can be for individuals, whole groups, target classes or those being educated from home as part of an education recovery programme.
Learner engagement and progress is monitored by the system and reported in real-time so our experienced team of teachers, tutors and trainers are fully aware and can respond swiftly with smart intervention and guidance. Data from the VLE system feeds directly into weekly management reports which use a RAG rating system against all our pre-defined KPIs which include smart targets for 100% learner engagement, satisfaction, progress, retention, timely completion and destinations which we actively monitor for outcomes beyond the end of the programme. We also produce daily, weekly, monthly reports for SLT and parents via the online portal to monitor and achieve impact, compliance, performance, satisfaction and progress against our quality improvement and curriculum objectives and plans. We also work with each organisation to analyse the learner, target group or cohort’s data to identify performance and participation gaps across a wide range of subjects to ensure learners are not disadvantaged, but most importantly any gap in learning has been achieved (with on demand teaching, tutoring or support). We use this to ensure any barriers to learning are removed.
To support our existing learners, we have sourced additional management and teaching expertise (UK Qualified Teachers) so that the creation of programmes given for a learner to study is tailored to provide learning journeys and education pathways that fully recognise the starting point of learners, fully addresses their individual learning needs and fully align with the needs of schools, learners and parents’ priorities.
We tailor each learner’s programme of learning and provide the flexibility they need to achieve their personal development and learning goals. This requires an accurate assessment of each learner’s starting point, preferred learning style, prior learning, knowledges, skills, motivation and barriers to learning. This is confirmed by using robust electronic skills scans, initial and diagnostic assessments and questionnaires within EDLounge which we often repeat throughout the programmes to demonstrate distance travelled and the impact of the recovery programme.
Designated staff on hand to support and implement the relevant learning as we work in partnership with learners, schools, SLT and parents to ensure that learner support and assistance is applied, timetabled and monitored where appropriate and reasonable adjustments are made to the learning plan to accommodate any learner, any where with any requirement.
Our online VLE provides blended live and on-demand lessons and provides our staff with real-time monitoring of learner’s progress. It alerts our teaching, safeguarding leads and support staff of any deviation from the schedule or safeguarding issue in the learning plan and day to day issues which prompts swift intervention to address any emerging problems or difficulties. Our quality assurance and safeguarding team monitor this and various statistics and also routinely collect feedback from all stakeholders.
In-learning assessments throughout the programme allow learners and staff to clearly see the distance travelled and evolving strengths, along with any weaknesses to be actioned and addressed. We also track our learner destinations to ensure the desired outcomes and stretching targets are achieved and continue to provide personalised learning after their programme has ended. The learning journey we provide is designed to be readily available, flexible, engaging, innovative, blended, contextualised and worthwhile because they directly align with your curriculum and plans. To ensure these opportunities are known, we encourage our staff to support our learners, parents and SLT by providing timetabled, on demand or live teaching, tutoring or personalised learning sessions.
Working in Partnership
EDClass is a valuable whole-school learning approach that enables any learner to have their own personal education learning plan that in turn matches your curriculum using our remote education platform. You can also apply the school's or department's testing and assessment strategy to our learning platform which comes complete with tracking and monitoring of outcomes, gaps in learning and targets.
Our ethos is to work in partnership with your organisation to offer a high-quality provision that impacts teaching and learning. Every learner placed onto the learning system has a personalised learning pathway that is created through a diagnostic tool that analyses their gaps of knowledge, missed learning and future topics that have not been accessed to enable learning and progress to take place.
The EDClass system has a unique approach created by a group of educationalists and safeguarding experts, so that all elements of the journey from learning, testing, benchmarking, monitoring and additional teaching to support is evidenced alongside reports for positive progress, achievement and destinations. Any individual can access the learning portal to learn instantly and interactively by accessing the on demand lessons of UK Qualified teachers teaching in our classrooms followed by assessment, test and additional learning content. You can match your pupils learning curriculum and programmes of study to your sequence of testing and assessment strategy.
Learners can start this journey by watching practicing UK teachers teach on-demand lessons that have questions, assessment and tests within the lessons and a pathway is created with additional lessons and additional resources that are all tracked and mark by our teachers. Learners can choose to prioritise the view of the teacher, the teacher and the screen or just the screen. Teachers, designated safeguarding leads and HLTAs are also online to support with; learning, deliver on-demand lessons, timetabled sessions, help with safeguarding concerns or teach live lessons to support and assist all those in personalised target groups or in whole school situations.
