The Prince of Wales Light up a Life 2022

Christmas is a time when we remember our loved ones, and Light up a Life provides an opportunity for families and friends to remember those no longer with us.

Every single donation, no matter how big or small, helps to make a huge difference to patients and their families.

Gifts of £30 or more will qualify for a Light up a Life pin badge. For gifts of £60 or more, you can receive a beautiful lantern. This year, gifts of £100 or more qualify for a special edition Light up a Life glass candle holder. You will also receive a personal Light up a Life card bearing your loved one(s) name.

The lanterns and glass ornaments will be on display at the Hospice, and available for collection after the Hospice service of remembrance.

*Whilst there is no extra charge for home packs, please do consider adding a little extra to your donation to cover the cost of posting these out to you.

Your gift will not only Light up the Life of your loved one, it will help care for our patients and their loved ones this Christmas.

This year, Terry Thwaite and his daughters are supporting Light up a Life in memory of Gail Thwaite; a loving Mum and Grandma.

Gail’s daughters say: “This place is worth its weight in gold and so is every member of staff. The Hospice now holds quite a special place in our hearts. Mum loved Christmas time - she will be smiling looking down! We invite others to get involved with this fantastic appeal to remember someone they have lost.”

Join us at one of our services of remembrance

Our services of remembrance are a wonderful opportunity to join together and reflect on memories of loved ones through music, readings, and lighting of candles. We would love to see you at one of our services.

St Mary Magdalene, Altofts - Sunday 4th December, 3pm
Holy Cross Church, Airedale - Wednesday 7th December, 7pm
The Prince of Wales Hospice Gardens - Saturday 10th December, 3pm

If you cannot attend or you would prefer to remember your loved one at home, please tick the box on the dedication form to request a home pack* which will include an order of service and a candle for you to light at home.

Join us online on 10 December 2022. The service of remembrance will also be live streamed here and you can donate to the Prince of Wales hospice here.
