Pupil-centred Support & Guidance: Nurturing Every Pupil's Potential

Pupil-centred Service

At EDClass, our pupil-centred approach is at the heart of everything we do. Our DfE-accredited online learning platform is designed to empower every pupil, providing a personalised, engaging, and supportive educational experience.

We believe that learning should have no limits. We raise aspirations through innovative teaching and learning solutions, and everything we do comes down to the teaching and learning of the pupils.

We are passionate about every learner. We care deeply about the needs of our partner schools, Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs), and LAs, and we work together to ensure the best possible outcomes for every pupil.

Our organisation is built on honesty and transparency, and we believe in celebrating every little win and progress along the way. We aim to provide interactive, unique teaching that makes learners want to learn.

This is why teaching and learning, alongside safeguarding, is the most important aspect of our organisation.

Pupil-centred Service

How EDClass Aligns with the Children's Wellbeing and Schools Act

The Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Act introduces statutory guidance designed to improve attendance, reduce exclusions, and provide better support for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and those with mental health needs.

EDClass’s platform and services are strategically designed to help schools and LAs meet and exceed the expectations of this new legislation.

Alternative Provision and Registration

Our ability to deliver a full curriculum to off-site students ensures that learning continues uninterrupted while supporting your requirements for the alternative provision and school registers.

Data-driven Evidence

Our detailed tracking provides the exact evidence schools need to demonstrate proactive support and compliance to authorities and inspectors.

Whole-school Approach to Attendance

The Act places a new emphasis on a whole-school approach to attendance. EDClass directly addresses this by providing a flexible, online platform for students who are persistently absent, are school refusers, or have Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA).

Alignment with the New Ofsted Framework

Focus on Inclusion

The framework closely examines how schools support their most vulnerable learners. EDClass offers targeted alternative provision that ensures vulnerable and disengaged students receive a broad and meaningful curriculum.

Robust Data Reporting

Our data-driven insights give school leaders clear, measurable evidence of student progress, attendance improvement, and targeted intervention to present during inspections.

Safeguarding Compliance

Our EDSafe framework ensures all online sessions are recorded and monitored for child protection, creating a transparent, auditable safeguarding trail that satisfies the new framework's high standards.

Targeted SEND and Wellbeing Support

The Act calls for more robust, holistic support for students with SEND and mental health challenges.

Pupil-centred Service
Trauma-informed Care

Our EDNurture platform and trauma-informed team provide dedicated pastoral and wellbeing care, directly addressing the social and emotional barriers to learning.

EHCP Delivery

Our specialist SEND team works collaboratively with schools to ensure every aspect of an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) is met, fulfilling the Act's intention to put children's welfare first.

Proactive Behaviour Management

The Act emphasises early intervention to reduce preventable exclusions and suspensions.

Behaviour Repair Curriculum

Our platform provides a structured behaviour repair curriculum that gives schools a powerful, positive alternative to suspension.

Root-cause Intervention

By identifying and addressing the root causes of disengagement, we help keep students on track and reduce the administrative and emotional pressure on in-house staff.

How EDClass Prioritises Students

Individualised Learning Pathways

Every pupil is unique. That's why our platform creates personalised learning journeys that adapt to each pupil's pace, strengths, and weaknesses.

This ensures they receive the right level of challenge and support to reach their full potential. Our platform allows UK-qualified teachers to tailor these pathways to an individual's specific needs.

Engaging and Interactive Content

We believe learning should be fun! Our curriculum-aligned lessons feature interactive quizzes, videos, and activities that make learning exciting and meaningful.

Through EDLive, pupils can engage in live lessons and one-to-one video chats, ensuring they have a constant connection to a teacher. Our EDInclude module provides access to over 12,000 lessons and resources, offering a wide range of content to suit different learning styles.

Real-Time Progress Tracking

Pupils can see their progress in real-time, which helps them stay motivated and on track. Teachers and parents also have access to detailed progress reports, allowing for targeted support and intervention.

Qualified Teacher Support

Our experienced and qualified teachers are available to provide guidance and support to pupils whenever they need it. All staff who have contact with children are trained to the level expected of a designated safeguarding leader, as noted in our Ofsted report.

Safe and Supportive Environment

We prioritise pupil wellbeing and create a safe online space where pupils feel supported and encouraged to ask questions and explore their interests.

Our EDNurture platform provides a dedicated pastoral and wellbeing service, while EDSafe ensures all sessions are recorded and monitored for child protection, with you having the same access too.
