EDClass: Transform Learning for Schools & MATs

About EDClass

EDClass is a Department for Education-accredited provider of online education that helps break down barriers to learning for schools and Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs).

The platform is trusted by many as an online alternative provision that promotes personal development, ensuring children are well-prepared for adulthood.

We’ve been providing a robust and safeguarded platform since 2008, offering a virtual learning classroom and management portal with resources that impact learning, assessment, and pastoral development.

With our hybrid model, we deliver personalised learning for online and flexible learning with UK-qualified teachers available live and on-demand.

About EDClass

EDClass accommodates all types of learners, including SEND learners and those still awaiting an EHCP. We drastically reduce the workload for schools and save time spent searching for solutions for learners who require support, as EDClass can help quickly and efficiently.

EDClass’s new platform dramatically provides a whole-school tool that can impact a range of the most vulnerable students, including school refusers, those off-site, students with Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA), mental health issues, and school phobia.

We also cater to behavioural issues, excluded students, those on sixth-day provision, and any student on a school’s roll or under local authority provision.

EDClass supports learners who cannot access mainstream education for a variety of reasons, including but not limited to: behaviour, exclusion, persistent absences, school refusal, emotionally based school avoidance, and/or mental health issues.

Our Aims

EDClass aims to:

01
Be an outstanding educational provision that delivers high-quality educational learning, assessment, and training to meet the individual needs of learners, adapting the core curriculum where appropriate and within the constraints of time and resources.
02
Provide blended and flexible training, teaching, learning, and assessment that has the learner and educational establishments or clients at the centre of what we do.
03
Create a broad, balanced, digital, and innovative curriculum that works in partnership with our schools, learners, clients, and staff to help enhance their skills, knowledge, and performance.
04
Safeguard and protect all learners that adheres to all government legislation and supervision requirements.
05
Provide in-depth, stimulating learning experiences that engage each learner and provide appropriate levels of stretch and challenge.
06
Support learners’ spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development.
07
Support and encourage healthy lifestyles.
08
Provide learners with the knowledge and skills required to keep themselves safe at school and in the wider world.

Our Objectives

We will achieve this by:

01
Delivering excellent teaching and learning to create a sector-specific curriculum through our EDTeach platform, where UK-qualified teachers provide live, interactive lessons and tailored support.
02
Enabling our pupils to access flexible, digital, and enhanced resources for teaching, delivery, learning, and assessments via a single, seamless platform.
03
Providing high-quality digital learning and assessment opportunities for our customers, staff, and a range of individuals.
04
Offering safe, secure, hybrid, and personalised learning for each learner that is tailored to their needs, curriculum, or assessment criteria through our EDLive sessions, which offer real-time, one-to-one interaction.
05
Using technology to break down barriers to learning for all learners with good intent via our curriculum and delivery of quality education, assessment, and training, underpinned by our EDNurture and EDInclude frameworks.
06
Cultivating confidence and a sense of respectability in learners so they are well-prepared for adulthood, using our EDSafe behavioural curriculum to address the root causes of disengagement and build positive coping mechanisms.
07
Using EDClass as a whole-school tool to provide interventions for off-site students ( EDSupport), to promote personal development and wellbeing (EDNurture), and to engage students with interactive and gamified learning experiences ( EDArcade).
07
Allowing you to personalise the learning of any learner on the platform. A learner using the system occupies a 'seat,' and these seats can be alternated, meaning you decide the times a learner engages with their 'pathway' of lessons. You also choose the method of curriculum delivery, the teaching content, and the lessons in the pathway.
