Wayne Pickersgill

I first qualified as a PE teacher at York St Johns University and Liverpool John Moore University in a degree for Physical Education and Sport followed by a PGCE in Education. I have been teaching for 15 years and have covered a number of roles from classroom teacher to head of faculty in a range of secondary schools. My main subject has been PE and Sport across all key stages 1-5. I specialise in the delivery of theory PE across a number of courses including GCSE, A - LEVEL, BTECS and various other vocational courses. I cover moderating and examining tasks for the main exam boards and therefore are up to date with all theory courses and best practice. I have also experienced teaching other subjects such as Religious Studies and PSHE, as well as adult learning courses for first aid. Having worked with a variety of ages in different settings I now specialise in delivering virtual PE lessons through EDClass to a range of students who are studying theory courses across key stage 4 and 5. This involves teaching students over an online platform as well as hosting CPD webinars for both teachers and children across the country.
