Teacher Testimonials for working at EDClass:

Because we know that the thought of leaving teaching is often quite scary, we thought that you may be interested to hear what some of our employees have to say.

Rachel, Primary/ Geography – “Working at EDClass has given me a fantastic work-life balance and since joining, I have never looked back. Working set hours each day means that I can focus on my role at work and then make time for my family outside of work, which has been a huge positive. My teaching role provides the opportunity to apply my expertise gained in a classroom setting when working with learners with a variety of backgrounds. I have also continued to develop as a teacher by broadening the age-range of learners who I interact with, developing my subject knowledge and being involved in a wide-range of training opportunities. Being an EDClass teacher is not only a wonderful opportunity to be helping those learners who need it most, but it is also an opportunity to do that alongside a fantastic team who are supporting and encouraging each other every step of the way”.

Jane, Primary – “This is a great place to work – you still get the joy of helping learners (and the ones that really need it), but without all the work to do in the evenings and at weekends! It is well worth coming to look around and get to meet the team so that you can see how it works!”

Imogen, Primary – “EDClass has been a very positive change in career whilst still being a part of the education system. I thought I would miss the interaction with students but you still build relationships with the learners and have ‘little wins’ which make it feel really rewarding. I don’t take home any work so I have more time to spend with my family which is something I didn’t have before.“

Rebecca, Secondary Maths – “I joined EDClass in September 2023, from teaching secondary maths for nearly 20 years. I still feel like the job is too good to be true. It has all the best bits of teaching with none of the undesirable elements of being in a school. I have a young child and I will be going to his nativity, despite it being on my work day afternoon as EDClass are very flexible with booking your holidays. Although you don’t get the school holidays you don’t need them. I wasn’t ill this October half term for the first time in nearly 20 years. I would only have known it was half term as my son was on half term. Also, when I was in school I was always counting down to the next holiday, yet since working here I have no idea when my next holiday is and I don’t feel like I need it. I believe I have more energy and that I generally feel better in myself. My heart rate on average is down 10 beats per minute over the last three months compared to when I was in school. One of the many fantastic benefits of this job is when your day is done it really is done. You have more time to spend with family and every weekend is a little holiday.”
